• Heated plastics, leach certain chemicals into the foods and beverages we eat. This leaching happens faster and to a greater degree when we heat plastic. Ie food reheated in the microwaved, heated in the dishwasher. Think BPA considered safe for 60 years. Banned then BPC used banned, now we use BPS. When will that be banned?
• Toxic non stick chemicals such as Teflon. Used in building paper, caused manufactures of it to die of cancer gets a slight molecular change. Finally after 50 years in 2013 teflon sprayed on cookware must be PFOA free. Are the bits leaching into your food safe now? or just not researched enough.
• Food Colouring 129, in Red sports drinks, like Gatorade and our All Black promoted Powerade. Recieving recent scruntiny after studies show stomach issues, hyperactive children and cancer all linked to this colouring. As well as the DNA breakdown in Mice.
• Synthetic Folic Acid and its inability to absorb in 40-60% of the population and the lack of a push for the superior natural version of folate methylfolate for pregnant woman.

4 of many instances where our health regulators paid hundreds of thousands of tax payers money are simply failing us. Maybe they are overburdened, maybe they’ve protected us from many others, but something has got to change. Quit waiting for our politicians and buy better today.

Plastics containing BPA was introduced in the 1950s as a cheap alternative to glass, or ceramic cookware. After 60 years manufactures are finally forced to remove BPA from being sold. So they change the molecular structure to BPC which took has been banned. Now we have BPS has an ever growing list of concerns.

1954 teflon was realised to be used as a cheap non stick cooking equipment. A harmful forever chemical that killed people who manufactured the stuff. Then to continue selling nonstick the molecular structure is changed in 2013 to be free of PFOA free. As if that now means it is safe? or can we safety assume the research simply isn’t paid to look their for our growing health problems.
